This silk is a Mint Green Tissue Taffeta silk with White checks. The tissue taffeta is made of 100% silk. The checks are about 1/4"-3/8" size. This tissue taffeta silk is made using power looms. The silk is yarn-dyed, and is made with very fine silk threads. The tissue taffeta is soft, drapy, but feels very light. It is shiny/iridescent, and has very few natural slubs. Tissue Taffeta is much lighter than regular Taffeta silk, about 8-9 momme weight
