The Controllable CO2 Gas Injector Charger is compatible with CO2 threaded cartridges up to 16g and allows you to control the amount of CO2 being injected into the keg / barrel to keep your barrel pressurised.
As you pour a pint, you might find the flow has slowed, so injecting some more CO2 into the keg helps keep the pressure and the flow. With the Controllable CO2 Gas Injector Charger, you can inject as little or as much CO2 as you want by pulling the black trigger.
The Controllable CO2 Gas Injector Charger connects to a ball valve connector / disconnect as shown in the pictures (but is not included), which in turn will need to collect to a ball lock valve (as shown in the pictures but is not included).
You can take off the regulator to use it on another keg and the valves will keep the pressure in there.
The red lever is a lock. It has been designed to be hard to move, so that little fingers can not accidentally activate the trigger.
Unlike the smaller 8g cartridges where you inject the hole 8g of CO2 in 1 blast and lots comes back out the pressure relief valve, your CO2 is injected as its needed, saving you lots of cartridges.
And now the old Hambleton Bard S30 / BrewGas L30 cylinders are so hard to come by, and if you do, the cost of returning and shipping of the new cartridge makes it very expensive.
You can retro fit the ball lock valves into a standard keg cap by drilling a new 1/2" hole and fitting the Ball Lock post. These make a very useful and efficient alternative. Using only the CO2 you need, and new cartridges are easy to get hold of.
This must only be used where there it a pressure relief valve fitted.
The 16g CO2 gas cartridges are available to buy at Brewbitz.
Cap, disconnect, valve and CO2 cartridge in pictures are not included but are sold separately and available to buy at Brewbitz
