- Mandrels provide direct and accurate measurement to the inner circumference of a bracelet. Do not use straight rulers as they only measure the length, which will be incorrectly longer than the inner circumference when a bracelet is worn. Mandrels are also more accurate than bead boards, which will give varying circumferences depending on the bead size. Only mandrels measure inner circumferences directly. Avoid upset customers and measure with a mandrel!
